State Trooper and State Police Officer

State Trooper / State Police Officers: State troopers and state police officers enforce state statutes. Traditionally, they are responsible for enforcement of laws on the highways and freeways of a state, and may issue tickets for a variety of traffic infractions. More important this role however, is that they are often first responders (accompanying paramedics) for accidents on our nation’s highways. In areas where there is no other form of law enforcement (no city or county police coverage) they will assume the duties of those officers as well.
