Police Detective

The urban detective: Detectives are often divided into particular subgroups based on the area of investigation they perform. For example, the homicide detectives investigate murders, the narcotics detectives investigate drug crime, etc. In larger cities many police forces also have detectives assigned to investigation of gang crimes. Detective work requires a great deal of patience, as some investigations will proceed for weeks or months, and likely will involve testimony and close work with district attorneys to ensure successful prosecution of criminal offenders.
